E.MIX es 122 is a single component, water-based anti-corrosion primer suitable for use on ferrous metal surfaces. E.MIX es 122 is non-flammable, low VOC, non-toxic and non-hazardous to users. E.MIX es 122 is easy to apply by brush or roller and can be used direct from the pail. No mixing is required. The cured film is tough and adheres very strongly to properly prepared, clean, dry surfaces.
E.MIX es 122 is suitable new metal fabrication/construction, preventive maintenance works, and repair & renovation works on metal substrates such as structural steel and metal deck roofs.

E.MIX es 122 has short touch-dry and through-dry times. Actual touch-dry and through-dry times will depend on ambient temperature, humidity and moisture content of surfaces to be coated.

For maximum performance, always ensure that the substrate to be primed is properly cleaned and prepared, free from chlorides and sulphates; ensure that the E.MIX es 122 primer coat is fully cured before coating over with the selected top coat system.

Do not apply E.MIX es 122 too thickly in a single coat as this may result in surficial drying only, with underlying material not drying up to form a protective film. Overly thick application in a single coat may also result in fine cracks in the final dry film.

For full protection, overcoat the primer system with EMIX waterproofing coatings, or other top coat systems suitable for the particular service. Always ensure that E.MIX es 122 primer coat is fully cured and through-dry before coating over with the selected membrane system.

The waterproofing membrane whilst setting, shall be protected from rain. Air circulation is necessary in enclosed areas to assure the normal setting of the waterproofing membrane.

After opening pails for use, always recap the pail tightly to preserve the quality of product for later re-use, and to minimise product wastage due to product drying or deterioration after the initial opening.
