Roof Waterproofing Solutions: How to waterproof your roofs?

External areas subjected to severe environmental conditions will cause leakages and affect internal dry areas. Waterproofing the concrete structure is essential to avoid problems such as oxidation of steel and damages related to water infiltration. Weber-E.MIX proposes several roof waterproofing solutions for exposed, concealed, and planter roofs.

Roofs Waterproofing Solutions

Concealed Roofs

Weber-E.MIX offers two types of roof waterproofing solutions for concealed new build roofs:

1. Roof waterproofing with polyurethane-based or water-based liquid membranes that is easy to apply, maintain, and provides flexibility as well as ultraviolet resistance.

2. Roof waterproofing with self-adhesive membrane and better crack bridging. Suitable for large flat roofs.

Exposed - Roof Tiles & Metal Roof

For exposed waterproofing, Weber-E.MIX offers a range of liquid roof waterproofing solutions ranging from polyurethane-based to water-based liquid membranes. They are easy to apply, maintain, and provide flexibility as well as ultraviolet resistance.

A 3 coat liquid roof waterproofing system is recommended. For more details, refer to our 3 coat waterproofing article.

Exposed - RC Concrete Roofs

For exposed waterproofing for RC Concrete roofs, Weber offers a wide range of roof waterproofing solutions ranging from polyurethane-based to water-based liquid membranes. They are easy to apply, maintain, and provide flexibility as well as ultraviolet resistance.

A 5 coat liquid roof waterproofing system is recommended. For more details, refer to our 5 coat waterproofing article.

Rooftop Garden & Planted Areas

A waterproofing system is important and should be the first step to terrace garden construction as it protects the roof and planter from leaking. The roof and planter must be waterproofed entirely and durably if you are growing plants in containers, raised beds, or on the roof and planter.
